Triad's Tomb Post Jam Update


We've taken some time to update our GMTK project to iron out some of the bugs we encountered during production as well as add in some functionalities we didn't have time to complete during the jam.  We also tried to address some of the feedback we received from players.

Major Changes

  • Changed the build to WebGL, to allow for playing in browsers.
  • Completely rebuilt targeting system.  You target by dragging cards onto their target now.
  • Added some simple animations and on-screen text to make it more clear what actions enemies are taking.
  • Added card zoom functionality, so cards become larger when you hover them.

Minor Changes

  • Added a short tutorial to the first combat encounter.
  • Continuing from a game over now starts you at the fight you lost on instead of restarting the game.
  • Added fade-in and fade-out transitions to each scene.
  • Changed enemy targeting indicators to show how much damage they will do on their turn.
  • Increased card size, and font size on cards.
  • Added mute button.
  • End turn button lights up when you are out of actions.
  • Reorganized and resized UI.
  • Added credits scene.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue where cards were being discarded multiple times during a turn.
  • Fixed issue where enemy armor wasn't displaying until after they were damaged.
  • Fixed issue where characters drew and could play cards after dying.
  • Fixed issue where enemies act one more time after dying when killed by bleed.
